The Hug-a-bub baby carrier is a fabric sling that enables you to hug your baby even when your hands are busy.

An Australian creation, the sling was designed by babywearing mums Susanne and Tania to make it more convenient to wear your baby as you go, than to continually stop what you are doing to push the pram or bounce the bouncer.

Babywearing is an instinctive parenting style where a baby is held close to the parent in a sling or pouch for a substantial part of the day. It allows a busy parent the freedom to continue their normal daily routine while providing a desirable environment for their child.

The hug-a-bubs wide shoulder wraps double up to provide the most secure support for babies’ head and neck. It is ideal for newborns, premature and sleeping babies, however it can also be used for older babies. The hug-a-bub’s ergonomic design, wraps around your torso, from shoulders to hips, reducing unnecessary strain on your shoulders, neck and back. It is recommended by physiotherapists for those with chronic back problems. Due to its unique wrap style, the hug-a-bub baby carrier offers a firm and secure hold that allows you to have your hands completely free. When desired, you can even bend forward without your baby dropping away from your body.

The weight distribution is really clever – you never get aching shoulders as you do with most baby carriers with shoulder straps. And if you do feel one part of the sling digging in a little you can just spread out the fabric.
